Breast Imaging

Our Breast Health Center is fully equipped with diagnostic technologies, like a breast MRI and Ultrasound machines, to study any areas of concern found during a mammogram, as well as equipment for physicians to perform diagnostic procedures such as needle and stereotactic breast biopsies.

Mammography

Digital mammography at St. Francis provides high-definition images that can be magnified and adjusted to get the best possible view, adding confidence to the interpretation. And because the images are available in just 10 seconds, patients can enjoy faster exams.

Breast Health Navigator

Our Breast Health Navigator is available at no cost to patients who have mammogram results that indicate breast cancer, as well as those whose results are abnormal but non-cancerous. She offers emotional support to ensure our patients know all of their options and understand exactly what to expect during their testing and treatment.

Cancer Risk Screening Program

Our Cancer Risk Screening Program (CRiSP) helps women with a family history of breast cancer determine their risk for developing the disease. St. Francis’ CRiSP is the only program of its kind in the Upstate, SC area with a Genetic Consultant who is also an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse, bringing vast knowledge and years of experience to the program.

Multidisciplinary Team Meetings

At St. Francis, our Multidisciplinary Team is led by the Medical Director of the St. Francis Breast Health Center, and consists of surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, our Breast Health Navigator and Genetic Counselor, and nurses who meet weekly to discuss patients whose tests come back with a positive result for breast cancer. They review each case as a team, agreeing upon the best course of treatment prior to surgery. In effect, our patients receive a first, second and third opinion all at the same time … for free.

Lymphedema Care

We offer a Lymphedema Care Program to support women who are managing lymphedema issues associated with breast cancer treatment. The trained therapists at ST. FRANCIS eastside in Greenville, SC provide monitored exercise programs, wrapping and compression, lymph drainage massage and education for at-home treatment.
