Congenital Heart Disease WeekFebruary 8 - 14
Congenital Heart Diseases that attack the structures of the heart affect as many as 40,000 babies each
year in the United States. CHD can limit the activities that affected children
can participate in, and many cases of young athletes who suffer sudden cardiac
are due to undiagnosed cases of CHD.
Because sudden cardiac death caused by CHD can happen to children who have not
even been diagnosed, the best thing you can do to prepare is to learn Adult and Child CPR.
