Facilities Information
ParkingWe offer free parking for all patients and their guests. Parking is available in front of both hospitals, and handicapped spaces can be found on the front rows at the entrances of St. Francis facilities. To view parking areas, download one of our campus maps. ST. FRANCIS downtown offers valet parking for surgery patients and
the disabled. A shuttle service is available in the ST. FRANCIS downtown parking
lot between 6:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday.
Cell PhonesCellular phones may be used in the hospital, but not near patient care equipment. Cell phone usage is not permitted in surgery areas, the Emergency department, or in recovery units. Wireless Internet AccessBoth ST. FRANCIS downtown and ST. FRANCIS eastside are equipped with wireless internet access, which is available to both patients and their guests. For info on how to log on to guest access, please ask for an instruction sheet at the Main Desk or download this sheet to take with you. ChapelsPeople of all faiths are welcome in the chapels at St. Francis.
Chapels are located on the ground levels of ST. FRANCIS downtown and ST. FRANCIS
eastside. A chapel also is located on
the fifth floor of ST. FRANCIS downtown. Services are held weekly in
the downtown chapel.
CafeteriasLocated in the basement of the ST. FRANCIS downtown and near the entrance of ST. FRANCIS eastside, cafeterias provide meal services for visitors and employees. The following cafeteria hours are observed:

Vending MachinesVending machines are located next to the cafeteria and in the Emergency department at ST. FRANCIS downtown. At ST. FRANCIS eastside, a vending area is located on the first floor near the cafeteria. In addition, drink machines are located on some patient floors in both locations. Gift ShopsGift shops are located in the lobby of ST. FRANCIS downtown and at the rear entrance of ST. FRANCIS eastside. They are open every day between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Gift items, greeting cards, books, flowers, plants, magazines, personal care items and candy are available for purchase. Patients who are confined to bed can take advantage of our personal shopping service by calling Patient Relations at 864-255-1093. The Gift Shop accepts cash, personal checks with proper identification, MasterCard, VISA and American Express. Sending Mail and FlowersMail and flowers sent to patients are delivered to their rooms. If mail or flowers arrive after the patient has been discharged, we will make every attempt to forward them. StampsStamps are available in the vending machines adjacent to the cafeteria at ST. FRANCIS downtown. ATM
Automated teller machines are located next to the cafeteria entrance at ST. FRANCIS downtown, and across from the cafeteria at ST. FRANCIS eastside. SmokingThe campuses of ST. FRANCIS downtown (including the St. Francis Outpatient Center) and ST. FRANCIS eastside are designated tobacco-free, as of March 2007. |
