St. Francis in the Community
Part of the mission of St. Francis to bring health and wholeness to the communities
we serve. To us, that means looking beyond our walls and doing what we can to
make our community a better, healthier place to live.
One of the sources of outreach is through Community Ministries at St. Francis, which serves as the “hands and feet” that bring our mission to
life. To understand more about what this area of St. Francis does for the community,
read more about some of our projects from the last year:
St. Francis also offers community health education and a Speakers' Bureau which
brings physicians and nurses to present as health experts to community
groups.
St. Francis LifeWise is an outreach program for senior adults that promotes living well and being
healthy through Lunch and Learn educational seminars and a variety of group activities.
Our Parish Nursing program promotes physical and spiritual wellness within faith communities.
Additional community outreach is achieved through thoughtful sponsorships of
important events and other causes in our area. St. Francis welcomes the support
of community members who would like to donate
their time as volunteers, and we are thankful for those who wish to support St.
Francis with their resources
through the St. Francis Foundation.
