Speech Pathology Services




St. Francis offers comprehensive speech pathology services to treat patients with speech, language, voice and swallowing deficits. Flexible scheduling and individualized sessions are offered. For more information, call 864-255-1076.


Program Overview


St. Francis’ program offers a comprehensive evaluation by a speech-language pathologist to develop individualized treatment programs for patients with a wide variety of conditions, such as:

  • Deficits in speaking, understanding, hearing, swallowing or cognition
  • Deficits in attention, memory, reasoning or judgement
  • Deficits in social skills and interaction
  • ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), myasthenia gravis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other neurological diagnoses
  • Bell’s Palsy

Other Programs

St. Francis also offers the following prosthetic voice rehabilitation programs for post-laryngectomy patients:

  • Voice restoration after tracheoesophageal puncture
  • Hands-free speech (using the Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve®)
