Speech Pathology Services
St. Francis offers comprehensive speech pathology services to treat patients
with speech, language, voice and swallowing deficits. Flexible scheduling and

Program Overview
St. Francis’ program offers a comprehensive evaluation by a speech-language pathologist
to develop individualized treatment programs for patients with a wide variety
of conditions, such as:
- Deficits in speaking, understanding, hearing, swallowing or cognition
- Deficits in attention, memory, reasoning or judgement
- Deficits in social skills and interaction
- ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), myasthenia gravis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, traumatic
brain injury, or other neurological diagnoses
- Bell’s Palsy
Other Programs
St. Francis also offers the following prosthetic voice rehabilitation programs
for post-laryngectomy patients:
- Voice restoration after tracheoesophageal puncture
- Hands-free speech (using the Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve®)
